UI audit
A free review of your interface's visual execution — typography, colour, spacing, states and design-system consistency — the polish issues that make a well-built product look unfinished or untrustworthy. Delivered as a PDF report and walked through on a 30-minute call, no obligation.

Typography scale & application
Whether the type scale you defined — heading sizes, body copy, captions — is the one actually rendered on screen, or ad hoc font sizes have crept in screen by screen until headings and captions no longer line up with anything resembling a system.
Colour usage & token discipline
Whether colour is drawn from a consistent set of tokens — brand, semantic, neutral — or hex values were picked screen by screen until two "primary" buttons in the same product turn out to be two different blues.

Spacing rhythm
Whether padding and gaps follow a consistent scale, or the same relationship — a label sitting above its input, say — is 8px on one screen and 14px on the next with no reason for the difference.
Component consistency across screens
Whether the same button, card or input looks identical everywhere it appears, or has drifted into several near-identical variants nobody deliberately designed — different corner radii, different padding, a hover treatment that only shows up on some of them.
States: hover, focus, disabled, loading, empty, error
Whether those states were actually styled on purpose — a disabled button that's visibly distinct from an active one, an empty list that isn't just a blank rectangle — or whether only the one "happy path" screen in the file got real attention and everything else defaulted to whatever the browser or framework ships with.
Icon & label coherence
Whether the same icon renders consistently everywhere it's reused — matching stroke weight, fill style, optical size and corner radius — rather than a thin outline glyph in one part of the product and a bold filled version of the same icon somewhere else. Also whether the same object is labelled with the same word across screens, and whether an icon and its label sit together as one visually matched unit — aligned, same weight, same spacing — rather than two mismatched elements placed side by side.
Design-system adherence & drift
Whether your screens still match the design system or component library you built — spacing values, corner radii, type styles, elevation — or components have quietly diverged from it release after release, until the "system" only describes some of what actually shipped.
What you actually get
You get a PDF report of your own to keep, that walks through your interface screen by screen — the specific typography, colour, spacing and consistency issues we found, with the fix we'd recommend for each one. It’s built to stand on its own: the report makes sense without us in the room.
How it works
Book a slot, send your screens
Share a Figma file, a set of exported screens, or a link to your live product — ideally enough of it to show the range: a form, an empty state, a dense data screen, not just the polished landing page.
We review it
Our design team checks your actual screens for typographic, colour, spacing and component consistency, and against your own design system where one exists. Ready within 1 business day.
You get the report
We walk you through the findings on the call, screen by screen, and you keep the PDF — free, with no obligation to hire us for anything else.
Auditing something other than visual consistency?
This page covers visual execution specifically — typography, colour, spacing, states and consistency across your interface. If it's your website's navigation, forms or checkout you want reviewed, our website UX audit covers that instead, and if it's a native iOS or Android app's platform-specific behaviour, our mobile app UX audit covers onboarding, navigation and platform fit. If WCAG conformance is the concern — including under the EU's Accessibility Act — see our accessibility audit. For the general rundown of what any of these audits cover, start with our UX audit services page, or browse example audit findings to see the kind of issues we flag in practice.
What it costs
The initial UI audit is free. If you'd like our team to help implement the fixes, that follow-on work is scoped and quoted separately, based on what you need.
Frequently asked questions
How is a UI audit different from a UX audit?
A UX audit tests whether people can complete tasks — can they find the right page, finish checkout, get through onboarding. A UI audit doesn't touch any of that: it looks at the interface itself — type, colour, spacing, states, and whether components stay consistent from screen to screen — regardless of whether the flow underneath is any good.
If our UX has already tested well, is a UI audit still worth doing?
Yes — a product can pass every usability test and still look inconsistent, unfinished, or hard to trust because of details users can't name but notice: mismatched spacing, three slightly different buttons, a font size that jumps for no reason. That's a separate cost to conversion, and it's what this audit is built to catch.
We don't have a documented design system — can you still run this audit?
Yes. Without a formal system, we check for internal consistency instead — whether your own screens agree with each other — rather than against a written spec. If a system does exist, we check adherence to that as well.
We use an off-the-shelf component library rather than a custom design system — does that change anything?
No. Whether you're on a stock UI kit, a customized one, or something built from scratch, the same check applies: is it actually used consistently across your screens, or has it been overridden differently in enough places that it no longer reads as one system.
Does this only apply to product screens, or can you review marketing pages too?
Both. Typography, colour and spacing inconsistencies show up on marketing pages just as often as in a logged-in product, and we'll review whichever screens you send us.
